We've heard lots of great feedback so far on the redesigned Saints website and we're glad to know our members are enjoying the new look! As with any change, though, it can take a little time to get accustomed to something new. With that in mind, we're offering up a few notes below to point out a few things that may feel a little different with the new site.
The Saints logo = Home
Some of you have noticed that there is no longer a "Home" option on the menu at the top of the page. The accepted convention in websites for the past several years is to use a company's logo as the de facto "Home" button, and we've decided to do the same thing. No matter where you are on our site, if you want to return to the top-level home page -- simply click on the Saints logo in the top corner and you'll be taken there!
Member News Always in the Same Location
As you scroll down the home page, the first thing you'll come to is a banner saying "Saints Member News." Under this banner you'll find Member News on the left side and Coming Events on the right (more on that below). This will be your go-to location for the latest Saints news. Each item will have a blue headline followed by a short blurb. If you click on the blue headline, you'll be taken to a page with additional details about that story (as you'll see in the image to the right).
Where is the Calendar?
Also under the 'Saints Member News' banner near the top of the home page, but on the rightside of the screen, you'll find a listing of 'Coming Events.' These are not performances needing ushers, but member-specific events such as board meetings, BOBB events and new member orientations. If you'd ever like to see the entire calendar, you can do so by moving your mouse to the 'Events' menu. When you do so, you'll see the 'Calendar' option appear below (see image on the right) and clicking that will take you to the calendar page.
'Committees/Commissions' menu is now 'Governance'
If you're looking for the lists of volunteers who help to keep The Saints' operations running, you can now find them under the 'Governance' menu. Not only is this word shorter, allowing for a visually cleaner menu, but it's also more inclusive as the page not only contains information about the various committees and commissions, but also shows the members of the board of directors and entire list of Saints coordinators.
What's that tab on the right of the screen?
While this was actually on The Saints website even before the redesign, a few people have asked about the vertical gray tab with an arrow on the far right side of every page on The Saints website. This handy little tool gives you access to some convenient options. When you move your mouse over the tab (see image to the right), you'll see three options: the top option allows you to print the page you're viewing; the middle option allows you to adjust the font size of the page (when you click it, it will rotate through three different size options); and the bottom option sends you directly to the top of the page you're viewing.
We hope this information helps you to more easily navigate The Saints website! We'll continue to update this page as new questions arise. While we may not be able to act on every suggestion, we always welcome your thoughts, feedback and ideas at
