It turned out to be a stormy night outside, but the Chopin Theatre was filled with warmth and laughter on the inside as more than 60 Saints came together for another night of fun and trivia on Monday, August 18. Lela and Ziggy graciously opened their entire theatre to us for the evening and, while many of the over 100 Saints who had registered understandably decided to avoid the forecasted storms, many still joined together for a good time.
Headed up by Saints board member, Debra Stang, the evening was another opportunity for Saints to spend some casual time with one another. So many members of our corps of volunteers frequently see each other at our various assignments, but we rarely have the time to really get into conversation before we're interrupted to do our work. This evening was a welcome change to that and an opportunity to spend some quality time with others who share a passion for the outstanding performing arts we support in the Chicago area.
Debra and her great team pulled together a well-orchestrated evening replete with Pizano's pizza, vegetable, fruit and home-made desserts. The Saints would like to thank Debra and everyone involved for their efforts in putting the evening together, as well as the many members who came out and joined us for a great event.
