With nearly 75 Saints registered, it's no surprise that the largely theatre-themed trivia at the May 19 social event was a popular part of a fun evening. The "Halos" took first place with 18 correct answers out of 26 questions and, in second place --
another team called the "Halos!" (Apparently this is a popular team name in a room full of 'Saints!')
The brainchild of Saints board member, Sue Weller, the evening was conceived as an opportunity for Saints to spend some casual time with one another. So many members of our corps of volunteers frequently see each other at our various assignments, but we rarely have the time to really get into conversation before we're interrupted to do our work. This evening was a welcome change to that and an opportunity to spend some quality time with others who share a passion for the outstanding performing arts we support in the Chicago area.
Pleased with the enthusiastic feedback received at the close of the event, Weller was grateful for the volunteer committee that helped her put it together, saying "It takes a village to successfully run an event, and I’d like to thank the many volunteers who helped on Monday night for our Saints Social." The members of the social team included Terry Anderson, Linda Becker, Anna Cantlin, Andi Gillespie and Debra Stang.
The Saints would like to thank Sue and her team for their efforts in putting the evening together, as well as the many members who came out and joined us for a great event.
