FAQ for New Usher Module Version

Usher Module Version 2.5 has been released. You can get a quick overview of features at this link, and a more detailed 1-2-3 Guide at this link. Coordinators will see the bulk of the changes, and they have an overview available at this link and a more detailed PowerPoint at this link. The 1-2-3_Guides_for_Coordinators have been updated. We have attempted to address the most common requests in this release, but as always in such a release, there may be some hiccups as it is rolled out.

Module Updates: a few questions and issues have arisen with the Module rollout. We are working with ClubExpress to resolve the issues. This section will be updated as we progress.
-- Request Assignment radio buttons: (After you sign in and click Usher, then click the Request Assignment button on your profile page). The Request Assignment radio buttons are new, intended to give the members greater control of the selections they view. The default is Available Productions with Open Assignments Only, by member request. This setting will not show productions that do not have slots available for signups.  If you wish to see productions that have those waitlists, click that button. If you wish to see all productions, including those that are filled and do not offer waitlists, click All Productions. The radio buttons look like this:

-- Request Assignment radio button "dropout": This is a somewhat esoteric issue, but still very real, and has been reported. The issue is that after selecting an alternate radio button (Waitlist or All), and selecting  and viewing a Production tile, then clicking on the "Return to Previous Page" button at the bottom of a Production list. The screen then reverts  to the default Only Open button. To circumvent this issue until it's resolved, don't use the "Return to Previous Page" button. You can simply click on the Back (left arrow key) or the Request Assignment link again and it will preserve the original Request Assignment radio button chosen and allow you to continue paging through the Production tile list.

-- Performance Comments: Performance Comments may overlap from one performance tile to another, with text overlaying the entry for another date. If this happens, the fix appears to be to clear your cache (Safari/Apple products) or delete browsing history (Chrome). Please note that Internet Explorer is no longer supported by any vendor, including Microsoft.

-- Added Performance email venue/company names: The system email that is sent to announce Added Performances for a production does not include a line for the Venue or Company. While this is a known problem, a fix may or may not be feasible until the next version. Look for the link to the production tile below the list of performances to be taken directly to the production. And--remember that if no performances are listed as available, that means that other Saints got there first. The Module is first-come, first-served.
