BOBB's September presenter will be Charles Askenaizer, Founding Artistic Director of Invictus Theatre, who will share how "passion and grit" not only resulted in the founding of Invictus but were instrumental in overcoming challenges which lead to a thriving theatre. Over the past 8 years, Charles has led Invictus to 35 Joseph Jefferson Award nominations and five wins. In 2024, he was named one of New City Magazine’s “Players 50 2024: The Rising Stars and Storefront Stalwarts.” Charles will describe how he ended up in Chicago and what he went through to get to where he and Invictus Theatre are today. Charles would like to have an interactive dialogue and has asked that our members participate.
