The Saints

Welcome to the Online Home of "The Saints"

The Saints is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) corporation of volunteers for the performing arts. At the present time our 1800+ members serve most of the Chicago and suburban not-for-profit theater, dance and music organizations listed in the Chicago Arts Companies section of this website.

The Saints members provide help to the above groups for a variety of activities including ushering at performances and, in return, get to attend the activities and performances at no charge. Members choose the venues and performances where they want to volunteer, as often or as seldom as they like.

Every year the Saints award monetary grants to not-for-profit performing arts organizations and scholarships to students majoring in the performing arts fields, in the Chicago and suburban areas.

The Saints members participate in the organization's General Meetings held five times a year and get to listen to interesting talks given by famous speakers from the performing arts community. The Saints members also receive a monthly newsletter, "Spotlight", which lists numerous volunteering opportunities. These opportunities are updated three times a week via e-mail to all members. A 24 hour telephone hot-line also lists these updates.

Any donations to The Saints (except membership fees) are tax-deductible!

Membership Information

The Annual Membership Year is from June 1 to May 31. The minimum age for membership is 16. Membership dues are $65.00 per person. Dues are not pro-rated for a partial year and are non-refundable. To renew your membership, first login and then click the Renew link at the top of the page to renew your membership for 2008-09. You can make your payment by secure credit card or print an invoice and mail a check.

IMPORTANT: Your credit card statement will show a charge from "Club Express." who is the agent for the Saints for credit card transactions (i.e., membership, theatre party, etc.)

If you have any questions about such an item please call Club Express, toll-free at 1-866-HLP-CLUB (457-2582). IF YOU DISPUTE THE CHARGE WITH YOUR CREDIT CARD COMPANY you will incur a minimum $15 service charge!!

Read the the Spotlight online. The cost savings related to printing and mailing your Spotlight copy will increase the funds available for scholarships and grants. Save the file to your computer.
